Minister of Commerce, Gita Wirjawan, promised to consider the development of agricultural markets in the District of Samosir, North Sumatra. Gita believes its market presence is important to maintaining price stability. "Regarding the plea to open up new markets near here for the benefit of other basic materials will be highly considered," said Gita, the inauguration of the Pilot Market Pangururan, in Naidoo, Thursday (12/04/2012).
Gita mentions the existence of traditional markets is important to bear meeting point between sellers and buyers. The easier the two met then the easier it will maintain price stability. "Price stability is important not only economic interests but also for social purposes," he added.
Earlier, in the same occasion, the regent Naidoo, Mangindar Simbolon, requesting government assistance in the conduct of agricultural markets. The market will be used to market food commodities.
"On this occasion I would like to report that in the district during this Samosir traders crops such as coffee, ginger, onions, potatoes and the like still do transactions between the truck and on board as the market for agricultural products not yet available," said Mangindar.
For that, the regents asked for government help to build market crops adjacent Pangururan Pilot Market. "To produce a good society can be served and cozy while gaining added value for society," added Mangindar.
