Up to March 2012, the number of e-Toll Card issued by PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk reached 693 000 cards. This number increased 239 percent compared with the position in March 2011.
The number of transactions was 4.8 million transactions per month, an increase of 300 per cent of total transactions in the period March 2011 recorded a total of 1.2 million transactions.
From a press release received by Reuters on Monday (4/16/2012), the Mandiri Prepaid card total of more than 1.58 million cards. The card is made up of e-Toll Card, Indomaret card, and Gaz card.
E-Toll Card transactions dominate, reaching 94 per cent of total transactions throughout the prepaid card issued by Bank Mandiri.
E-Toll Card is a prepaid card issued by Bank Mandiri, in cooperation with the toll road operator.
Director of Bank Mandiri, Zulkifli Zaini, said it will continue to increase sales and develop a transaction using the e-Toll Card.
"This is our commitment to facilitate the trading of toll road users," he said.
