North Korea plans Getarkan Asia Market Actors

Asian stock markets opened higher on Thursday trading (12/04/2012). However, investors remained concerned about geopolitical risks because North Korea plans to launch the rocket.

"Geopolitical risk can be a major obstacle in the market. Some investors prefer to wait and see," said Yoshihiro Okumura of Chibagin Asset Management in Tokyo.

Korea's Kospi index fell 0.9 percent and reached their lowest point in the past month. The decline occurred because market participants are still not crowded holiday trading after yesterday's elections.

The Nikkei rose 0.1 percent, after falling 6.4 percent in the past week. S & P up 0.4 percent Australia and New Zealand rose 0.5 percent.

Mitul Kotecha, a strategist at Credit Agricole, said in a note that the lack of positive fundamental news adds to the risk that the strengthening of the market will be vulnerable.
