Kazakhstan explore investment in Indonesia

Government of Kazakhstan to explore investment opportunities for a number of industrial sectors in Indonesia with a potential value of investing billions of dollars.

To realize such investments, the Government of Kazakhstan and Indonesia will form a joint commission.

According to Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa, after a meeting with Kazakh President Nazarbayev Nurzultan, at the Hotel Kempinski, Friday (13/04/2012), in Jakarta, who discussed some things relating to trade and investment relations. Of some of the talks, Kazakhstan provides enormous opportunities for PT Pertamina (Persero) to acquire oil fields in Kazakhstan.

While the Government of Indonesia offers investment in downstream industries in palm oil, cotton and wheat. Kazakhstan Parties also expect a visit from the Government of Indonesia in May to realize cooperation.

On that occasion, the President of Kazakhstan expressed do not want to work together it is only stated in the memorandum of understanding, but want a direct realization of such cooperation in the field of industrial and aircraft tires.

Therefore, PT Dirgantara Indonesia together with companies from Kazakhstan will work together to produce N-219 aircraft.

"A lot of potential that we will develop, pharmaceuticals as well, Indofood investment required there, so the wheat from there. Because there is the highest protein of about 25 percent of wheat and it will be there to meet the market. Many potential to be we developed, including pharmaceuticals and tourism, "he said.

Related to this, the Government of Indonesia will soon form a kind of a framework of cooperation although there is now a business forum between entrepreneurs of both countries. So the proposals put forward will be increased cooperation commission and will be reported to the President.

"Each ministry will focus on the working group to realize all the things that have this potential," he said.
