President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev agreed bilateral trade volume amounting to 100 million U.S. dollars over the next 5 years.
Both heads of state also agreed to increase the range of interaction in various fields, including energy, industry and investment, and others.
The program was carried on between the implementation of Program Development Strategy Kazakhstan 2030 program which includes the State Program of Forced Industrial-Innovative Development 2010-2014, and MP3EI.
"We also agreed earlier to support the economic cooperation that was required of institutions like joint intergovernmental economic commission nor Indonesia-Kazakhstan Business Council. We also agreed to make it become more fluent, as well as avoidance of double taxation and investment protection for both parties , "the president said at a joint press statement at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Friday (13/04/2012).
At the meeting, the two heads of state witnessed the signing of cooperation visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and business visas. Both Chief also spoke about the development of cooperation in the field of Islamic banking, education, tourism, and also the military.
Related efforts to achieve the potential of bilateral cooperation, the two Presidents welcomed the willingness of national airlines of both countries to explore opportunities opening of direct flights from Almaty to Denpasar, Bali. On a visit to Jakarta this time, President Nazarbayev inaugurated the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Indonesia.
Appointment of Head of Delegation Ambassador level will be done before the opening of the 20th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations in 2013.
Meanwhile, Indonesia has had a representative in Kazakhstan. President Nazarbayev also invited the President to come to Kazakhstan. President Yudhoyono said the invitation was welcomed.
