Dahlan Iskan Proposed Use of e-Fuel

Minister for State Owned Enterprises Dahlan Iskan proposed fuel usage of electronic card (e-Fuel) to control the consumption of subsidized fuel oils. Later, e-cards are used the fuel consumption of motorists that fuel subsidies.

Dahlan claimed the proposal was not approved by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. As a result, he did not want to explain it in detail. "That nantilah, the President has not decided," kataya, Tuesday (04/03/2012).

According to Dahlan, the proposed use of e-Fuel is more relevant than the issue of rules that prohibit the use of fuel subsidies for the middle class vehicle. Because, he argued that every person is entitled to use the fuel subsidy. "Later it was considered illegal or human rights," he said.

The same thing also submitted by the Coordinating Minister Hatta Rajasa said the government is not likely to rule against the use of Premium for certain groups. "Will there who feel discriminated against. We do not want the public should be able to use subsidized fuel," he said.

Government began to worry about fuel consumption subsidies because many are switching from nonsubsidized fuel. This transition is feared could encourage the consumption of subsidized fuel to swell.
