11 Ready to Go Indonesia foreign Franchise

Economic stability and improving the local economy as a market to make Indonesia attractive for franchise businesses. Therefore, foreign franchises continued to arrive. To anticipate, the government is cooking the rules about foreign franchises.

Several months ago, dozens of U.S. franchises also come to Indonesia and expressed his intention to seek a local partner and invest.
U.S. Country Manager Indonesia Louken Danny Anthony said the presence of 11 franchises into new opportunities for local businesses. "We are ready to cooperate with local brands. We want to contribute to Indonesia, both bringing foreign brands enter or vice versa, "he explained.
On the occasion, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sector Amir Karamoy Franchising and Licensing, said the government was brewing the rules relating to foreign franchises. "The rule is expected to accommodate all the interests involved," he said.
Earlier, Vice Minister of Commerce Krisnamurthi said the new rules relating to foreign franchises made to ensure their presence beneficial to Indonesia. "Without strict rules, they could displace the local economy," he said.
Franchising Trade Minister Regulation No. 31 of 2008. Year 2012 is predicted to get 100 foreign franchises to Indonesia. Until 2011 there were 400 foreign franchises that have been operating in Indonesia. Of about Rp 114 trillion turnover franchise in 2011, about 60 percent of which came from foreign franchises.
According to international trade expert from Bogor Agricultural University, Rina Octaviani, in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia entry into the franchise industry is very beneficial to consumers.
In the short term, high growth of consumption good. However, if consumption growth is not accompanied by increased investment, especially for industry, it will push inflation.
